Every domestic house cat comes to us with different backgrounds and needs. We tailor our fostering placements to your schedule, lifestyle, and comfort level so both you and your foster cat thrive.
Kitten care
Provide round-the-clock feeding and warm care for young kittens and nursing mothers until they are ready for their forever homes.
Socialization
Offer a calm, patient environment to help timid and shy cats build confidence, trust, and loving personalities at their own pace.
Adult cat foster
Give adult rescues a peaceful respite while they await adoption. Every cat is open to fostering, and homes with fewer than two animals are preferred.
We provide everything your foster cat needs
Fostering should be rewarding, not stressful. Hoosier Haven supplies litter boxes, food bags, toys, food bowls, and required veterinary care. You supply the safe home and love.

Getting started is straightforward. Submit your inquiry to Hoosier Haven Cat Rescue, and our team will get in touch to discuss your household setup. Once the foster paperwork is signed and approved, we will match you with a feline that fits your home.
Home requirements and support
We prefer homes with less than two existing animals to ensure a calm transition, but we are always open to discussing specific arrangements. Whether caring for a bottle baby or socializing a shy rescue, we are with you every step of the way.
